Victor Velazquez
M.Ed., CDMS
Victor Velazquez began working in the disability field beginning in 2006. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts at the Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, and later his Master’s of Education in Secondary Education at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. He worked as a Case Manager and Middle/High School teacher for students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom. He moved on to the title of Director of Vocational Education at the Quileute Tribal School in La Push, WA, as a certificated teacher and directing college and career services for the school and community.
In 2012, he became a Worker’s Compensation Adjudicator with the State of Washington, and began working with injured workers and employers through the Department of Labor and Industries. Victor escalated through the ranks until leaving the department in 2015 to pursue vocational rehabilitation. In 2016 he earned his CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist) designation.
Victor was born in Mexico, and is bilingual in Spanish. His performing arts background, experience in education, understanding of disabilities, and social work experience all combine to make him uniquely equipped to resolve complex issues surrounding workers compensation claims.
In his spare time, Victor enjoys playing Video Games, Board Games, and Card Games. He watches a movie at the theater nearly every week of the year.
