Raena Lorio

Raena Lorio has been with Strategic Consulting Services since December 2020. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling both from Western Washington University. Raena has a unique perspective on workers compensation claims and the vocational rehabilitation process as she has gone through the process herself as an injured worker. She had a significant work injury in 2008, where she was no longer able to do her job as a Veterinary Technician as she had for 17 years prior. Raena is familiar with the grief process that is associated with losing part of one’s identity when a person is no longer able to do their job. Raena enjoys working creatively with her clients and connecting them to community resources and community partners to assist in navigating their return to work or retraining.

Outside of work, Raena enjoys spending time with her family doing outdoor activities such as kayaking and hiking along with playing with various Disc Dog organizations with her 3 Border Collies.
