Doug Lear has practiced vocational rehabilitation since 1998 and has been with Strategic Consulting Services since June 2007. He delivers vocational recovery and counseling services grounded in practical, defensible return-to-work planning within Washington State industrial insurance and self-insured settings. His work includes vocational evaluation, transferable skills analysis, labor market research and surveys, job analysis, forensic review, and vocational plan development and monitoring. He communicates directly with treating providers, employers, claim managers, and attorneys to align medical restrictions, job demands, and labor market realities. He also provides vocational expert testimony for the Social Security Administration.

Mr. Lear is a U.S. Army veteran and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). In addition to vocational services, he works with Northwest Ergonomics and Assistive Technology as an Assistive Technology Specialist  providing computer access assessment and follow-up training, including speech recognition, alternative input, and visual access supports.
